The Covid-19 pandemic has flipped all of our worlds upside down. Capen Media has been helping our clients adapt to the new landscape.
One of our recent projects was helping Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Ellicottville, NY, to relaunch their website. The original site was bare bones, so as Capen worked with pastor Father Lukasz Kopala, we found ways to expand their messaging to include personal appeals from the priest, ministry opportunities, Mass and event schedules, and easy contact information. We also arranged for a professional photographer to have a session at the church to create new and visually dynamic images to anchor the site.
The new site launched in late February, and won praise from all corners of the parish community. But then the pandemic came.
As the situation continued to change from day to day in March, we worked with Father Kopala to make changes as needed, including updated schedules and availability and direct messages from the local bishop. The parish also needed assistance establishing a better social media presence on Facebook so Father Kopala could communicate with parishioners on a regular basis and offer live Masses.
